I love this time of year! The changing of the leaves, the crispness in the air. People are starting to make travel plans or putting together their menu for Thanksgiving Day. Meebo’s traditions are awesome – from the birthday celebrations, to the Valentine’s Day bake-off or summer picnic.

But I think the Thanksgiving potluck has to rank high on the list of our favorite celebrations. It is a time for all of us to sit down and share a wonderful meal together and be thankful for the awesome year we’ve had here at Meebo! It also gives us the opportunity to check out the culinary skills of our co-workers :) I’m sure you have your traditions too!

I’d like to share one of my favorite Thanksgiving recipes – Wild Mushroom Shallot Gravy.  Happy Thanksgiving from the Meebo family!

Wild Mushroom-Shallot Gravy

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 10 shallots, peeled
  • 4 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 12 ounces mixed wild mushrooms (such as oyster, morel and stemmed shiitake), sliced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary or 1 teaspoon dried
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh sage or 3/4 teaspoon dried rubbed sage
  • 1/2 cup dry Marsala
  • 1/2 cup dry Sherry
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken stock or canned low-salt broth
  • 1 cup whipping cream
